Welcome, b'ys.

My name is Arn. I've been living in the Canadian Rockies for quite some time, after spending my formative years on the rocky rocks of Newfoundland. Growing up in a small outport community where the norm is to wave at every vehicle you pass, I strive to keep things close, friendly, and personal. Like a sweater that Nan knit.

I still haven't gutted a codfish. They are slimy and gross. Some good to eat, though. I'm not offended if someone calls me a 'Newfie.' Unless that person is slimy and gross. To some, this might dub me unauthentic; that gutting a fish is a right of passage. We're a proud bunch. Which brings me (and you) to here: my website. I'm proud of where I come from, and where I am now. So here I am to share musings, knowledge, and stories from my experience.

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one's self;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived -
This is to have succeeded.
